Since I was a child, I have always enjoyed creating art. I grew up in Hopkinsville, Kentucky and at the age of twelve began taking painting lessons. In high school, I was inspired by two wonderful art teachers and when it came time for college I chose to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
In 2009, I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Packaging Design. During my time in New York I was an intern at Dragon Rouge, the world's largest independent design consultancy. I collaborated with the creative team to develop concepts, assist with package designs, and evolve logos. My experiences in the design career field were wonderful, but I knew my heart was in teaching. After graduation I moved back to Hopkinsville and began working on my Master of Arts in Teaching at Austin Peay State University.
My art consist mainly of paintings and digital artworks that range from landscapes to animals to bible verses. When not creating or teaching art, you can often find me in Starbucks, roaming around a bookstore, or spending time with family.
